About Vilon

Vilon (Lys-Glu) is a synthetic dipeptide from the Khavinson 'bioregulator' series and one of the earliest characterized, proposed to act on the thymus and immune regulation. The tissue-specific bioregulator concept is a research hypothesis, not an established mechanism. In organotypic culture Vilon stimulated growth of rat thymus explants, and it appears in small aging-biomarker (chromatin) studies in elderly subjects; there are no controlled clinical outcome trials, and the evidence comes largely from a single research group.

Key Benefits

  • Stimulated thymus-tissue growth in cell-culture/organotypic studies
  • Appears in small aging-biomarker studies in elderly subjects
  • Part of the Khavinson tissue-specific peptide series
  • Effects not confirmed in controlled human trials
