About Semax

Semax is a synthetic heptapeptide analogue of ACTH(4-7) developed at the Institute of Molecular Genetics of the Russian Academy of Sciences. It enhances BDNF expression, modulates serotonergic and dopaminergic systems, and provides neuroprotective effects. It is closely related to Selank but acts primarily through neurotrophic rather than anxiolytic pathways.
