About Pinealon

Pinealon (Glu-Asp-Arg) is a synthetic short peptide from the Khavinson 'bioregulator' series, proposed to act on neural tissue with interest in neuroprotection. The tissue-specific bioregulator concept is a research hypothesis, not an established mechanism. Animal studies report effects on behavior and neurochemical markers in aged rats under stress (hypoxia/hypothermia), and it appears in small aging-biomarker studies in elderly subjects; there are no controlled clinical outcome trials, and the evidence comes largely from a single research group.

Key Benefits

  • Affected behavior/neurochemistry in aged-rat stress models
  • Studied for neuroprotection (preclinical)
  • Part of the Khavinson tissue-specific peptide series
  • Effects not confirmed in controlled human trials

Legal & Regulatory Status

Research use only. Not approved by the FDA or EMA for human use. Evidence is largely preclinical and concentrated in a single research lineage.

Safety and regulatory details for FDA-approved compounds are drawn from the official product label via openFDA; clinical development status reflects ClinicalTrials.gov. This information is provided for research reference, is not endorsed by the FDA, and may not be complete or current.
